Yep, I’m trying to build up a portfolio. There is a catch though – I’m doing them for free only if I can pick up/drop off at one of our Long Island doll meets (I don’t want to deal with shipping, only under certain circumstances).
I use: Mr. Super Clear Flat, Prismacolor watercolor pencils, Golden fluid acrylics and Windsor & Newtown brush cleaner.
I made a bunch to sell on DoA and etsy, though some aren’t completely finished yet and are lacking endpapers. I think they’re all roughly 1.5″ x 2″, with one of them being a little more square, about 1.5″ x 1.5″.
Thread-bound Books!
I’ve tested this style of bookbinding a few times and each book has come out better than the last. This method is a little more complicated than my other tutorial, Glue (aka Perfect) Bound Books. It requires a few more supplies that may be harder to come by. Let’s get started!

I had an DollZone tan Xi head just lying around, so I decided to give it a faceup and sell it…here’s a progress shot, I think eventually I’d like some mehndi-inpsired facial tattoos and decoration.
T-shirt and cute skinny jean patterns for Unoa, and possibly for other slim MSD-sized dolls (with a bit of adjusting, of course).
Inspired by Domadoll’s Ippo, I was thinking of making a doll that could function as speakers for an mp3 player. I was even thinking two dolls together for a stereo effect would be cool.
